Job Description
The Physical Access Specialist is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of physical security (Security Cameras, Access Control, Intrusion alarm systems, etc.) for our Retail and Workplace teams with a focus on safety. They work closely with various business stakeholders to ensure that physical security deliverables meet or exceed stakeholder expectations.
- Security Operations
- Oversee daily Security operations, including maintenance, repairs, of cameras and alarm systems.
- Assign tasks, ensuring timely and high-quality completion.
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers.
- Budget and Resource Management
- Prepare and manage the Security budget.
- Monitor and control expenditures, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Allocate resources efficiently to meet operational needs.
- Emergency Management
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
- Ensure facilities are prepared for emergencies, including fire, medical, and security incidents.
- Technology and Systems Management
- Implement and manage physical security management systems and technologies.
- Utilize data and analytics to drive decision-making and improvements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a Security role, facilities management, or a related field
- Experience with security cameras, access control, intrusion alarm systems, and Intercom systems
- Good knowledge of MS Office in a Windows environment (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
- Fluent in French (spoken and written)
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Knowledge of physical security technologies and best practices
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Must have a valid license and access to a personal vehicle
- May require occasional evening or weekend work.
- Ability to respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours.
