Reporting to the Manager, Marketing Automation, this role leads the execution and optimization of marketing campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud to drive customer engagement and business growth. Success hinges on exceptional attention to detail, strong quality control, a genuine interest in the business, and proactive leadership in enhancing automation capabilities—all while maintaining a customer-first mindset.

  • Campaign execution and automation – Design, build, QA and deploy automated marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, etc.
  • Audience segmentation management – Develop and manage audience segmentation strategies using data extensions and sometimes SQL to ensure personalized and relevant communications.
  • Data integration and management – Collaborate with data, analytics and IT teams to ensure seamless data integration between Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other platforms. Maintain data hygiene and integrity across campaigns.
  • Journey optimization – Monitor and create recommendations to optimize journeys to improve engagement, conversions and operational efficiencies.
  • Content management – Work with Marketing Managers, Agency partners and Digital team to manage and optimize dynamic content, templates and assets that align with Brand vision and business goals.
  • Reporting and analytics – Track and analyze campaign performance using SFMC and Tableau reports and dashboards. Proactively share actionable insights to improve future campaign effectiveness.
  • Compliance – Ensure all campaigns adhere to privacy regulations (e.g., CASL, data privacy, etc.) and follow direct marketing best practices.
  • Cross-functional collaboration – Partner closely with marketing, business, data, analytics, IT and agency partners for best outcomes.
  • Platform expertise and innovation – Stay current with Salesforce Marketing Cloud updates and industry trends. Recommend new tools, features and approaches to enhance marketing automation capabilities inside and outside the platform.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email, Journey, Automation, etc.)
  • Skilled in SQL, data extensions, and audience segmentation
  • Proficient in dynamic content, personalization, and AMPScript, HTML and CSS for emails
  • Strong grasp of email best practices and compliance (e.g., CASL, etc.)
  • Analytical thinker with performance reporting experience
  • Effective project manager and cross-functional collaborator
  • Curious, tech-savvy, and always learning
  • Experience in telecommunications is an asset
  • Hybrid role based in our Toronto office
