Job Description

The Network Deployment Lead will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of network deployment activities, ensuring that telecom infrastructure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in telecom networks, and the ability to manage contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams. 

  • Oversee technical work for new site builds, upgrades, overlays, microwave radio swaps, sector additions, azimuth changes, relocations, and line-of-sight (LOS) activities. 
  • Review technical work orders across IP, Transmission (TX), and Radio Frequency (RF) domains to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements. 
  • Prepare, issue, and review Bills of Materials (BOM) to ensure accuracy for deployment activities. 
  • Work directly with contractors during equipment installation and provide on-site support as required. 
  • Actively work in the field with contractors to facilitate deployment activities and resolve site issues. 
  • Attend bid walks, participate in writing the Scope of Work (SOW) for contractors, and provide clarification or responses to contractor questions. 
  • Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, transmission, RF, operations) and landlords to facilitate site access, equipment shipment, and handling. 
  • Provide on-site support during night shifts for contractor cutovers and traffic migration activities. 
  • Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and material deliveries to ensure timely project execution. 
  • Monitor health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance during field operations. 
  • Track project milestones and maintain accurate reporting of deployment progress. 
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives to optimize deployment efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of Telecom implementation. 
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • Experience with latest technologies  fiber rollout projects. 
  • Knowledge of local telecom regulations and standards. 
  • Familiarity with vendor management and contract administration.
