Reporting to the Manager Network Quality Roaming, the SR Specialist NQ Roaming is responsible for all outbound and inbound roaming related services during all phases. This role requires defining the roaming features, testing, managing the deployment, operating, maintaining, and monitoring Domestic and International Roaming within the Freedom Mobile Wireless Network. Identifying the roaming network related issues and working to resolve them.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute and maintain outbound and inbound Roaming IREG process and testing;
  • Propose roaming related project and use cases to improve the business;
  • Perform all roaming related testing and monitor the network performance before and after the network changes/activities in the maintenance window;
  • Develop and monitor roaming reports;
  • Roaming network optimization and tuning for improving customer and network performance;
  • Perform roaming ATP testing for new projects;
  • Perform UAT roaming related testing;
  • Perform roaming partners network related audit;
  • Maintain all roaming related documentation with each roaming partners;
  • Perform roaming proactive testing monthly campaign;
  • Call traces collection for quicker roaming troubleshooting;
  • Handle day to day roaming customer complaints;
  • Identify roaming related network issues and resolve them;
  • Check the roaming network performance and share the related periodic reports on regular basis;
  • Provide technical expertise for debugging with Network Engineering;
  • Responsible for network surveillance and fault rectification. They also monitor mobile core network performance and roaming KPI’s;
  • Identify the Roaming key requirements and provide the roaming test plans;
  • Generate and update documentation on regular basis;
  • Address roaming customers complaints;
  • Develop roaming related reports for different roaming services.
  • Maintain all roaming related documentation with each roaming partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer,  electronics or Telecommunications Engineering
  • 4 to 7 years of relevant experience;
  • Ability to work with the tracing tools
  • Strong knowledge of core & roaming network signaling and standard protocols;
  • Familiarity with 3GPP & GSMA standards and associated 3G/4G/5G Radio Access Networking technologies;
  • UMTS/LTE/5G core network architecture advanced knowledge including the standard signaling protocols (i.e. IuCS, IuPS, GSM MAP, CAMEL, ISUP, SIP,  Diameter S1AP, SGs, GTPv1,  GTPv2, Sy, …);
  • Advanced knowledge on IMS&LTE network architecture includes SIP and Diameter protocols;
  • Deep understanding of VoLTE and IoT roaming network technologies and testing;
  • Experience with roaming launches projects in different technologies including VoLTE roaming;
  • IREG testing basic knowledge such as IR24, IR32, IR35, IR38 and IR25 etc.;
  • Familiar with the IREG testing process and roaming QoS performance monitoring;
  • Familiar with the core and roaming network KPIs/KQI’s;
  • Strong skills to analysis data, read graphs, build reports, and reach to conclusions;
  • Flexibility to work during the night hours.
