As a Social Media Intern at Freedom Mobile, you will gain hands-on experience in managing social media platforms, contributing to content creation, and supporting the overall social media strategy.
This role is ideal for a motivated and creative individual pursuing, or recently completed, a degree or diploma in marketing, digital media, or a related field. You will work closely with the social media team to learn industry best practices and develop your skills in content creation, community management, and social media analytics. This role has emphasis on content creation, however, managing content creation with our creative agency is also part of the role.
We are a hybrid work environment, with 2 day mandatory in office in downtown Toronto.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Assist in developing and executing social media campaigns aligned with Freedom Mobile’s brand and marketing objectives.
- Create engaging/on-trend social media content, including reels, TikTok, carousel posts, stories, etc.
- Schedule posts on Meta Business Suite and other social platforms.
- Monitor social media platforms for competitive activity, new trends, and cultural moments.
- Track and analyze social media performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support the team in brainstorming and executing social media contests and promotions.
- Stay up-to-date on social media trends and best practices.
- Assist the team with other ongoing administrative/campaign-related tasks as required.
What You Will Bring:
- Currently enrolled or recently completed a post-secondary or university-level program in marketing, social media, digital media, or a related field.
- Strong interest in social media and digital marketing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Content editing skills in CapCut or in-platform tools like TikTok/Instagram.
- Up to date with viral social trends including sports, pop culture, and world moments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work with creative agency, delivering feedback requests in timely manner.
- Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Threads, LinkedIn).
- Proficiency using Photoshop, Figma, or other graphic design tools is not mandatory, but nice to have.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work a minimum of 8 – 12 months.
- This is a paid internship position, starting immediately.
